Tent Carpets at WM Camping

Most tent carpets are made with a soft fleece-style top, combined with a waterproof polyethylene backing to help stop moisture coming through. Between these layers, there’s usually a thin foam core that provides a bit of insulation and cushioning. The result is a warmer, more comfortable surface compared to the standard sewn-in groundsheet.

They can also help keep things cleaner inside the tent. With a carpet down, it’s much easier to encourage everyone to remove shoes at the entrance, which cuts down on mud and damp being brought inside.

For family camping, a tent carpet can make the space feel more like a proper living area rather than just somewhere to sleep. While they’re not something you’d take on a lightweight backpacking trip, they’re easy to pack in the car and don’t add much weight overall, making them a worthwhile addition for longer stays or trips with children.
