The Cayman Outhouse Handi is designed to provide a practical extension to your camping setup without the bulk or weight of a full-size awning. With a neat 200 × 200cm footprint, it creates a useful sheltered space that works well as a storage area, compact seating zone, or utility shelter, while still being easy to transport and pitch.
Built from 120HDE Hex high-density all-weather lightweight fabric, the awning offers dependable protection from the elements with a 3000mm hydrostatic head. This makes it suitable for regular touring use, keeping kit dry while remaining manageable in terms of pack size and weight.
Ventilation is handled by a roof vent with a Velcro-down storm cover and a Phoenix mesh ventilation panel on the side wall, helping to keep the interior fresh and reduce condensation. Clear window panels allow natural light into the space, keeping it bright and usable during the day.
The Outhouse Handi can be attached directly to your vehicle as a drive-away awning or pitched as a standalone shelter. Its simple pole-and-sleeve design uses just two fibreglass poles, while the separate peg-down groundsheet gives you the option to remove it if required.
The zip-up front door can be used as a standard entrance or opened out into a canopy using optional king poles (sold separately).
120HDE Hex high-density all-weather lightweight polyester with a hex embossed finish, offering a good balance of durability and low weight.
A straightforward pole-and-sleeve system using two lightweight fibreglass poles keeps pitching fast and uncomplicated.
The awning can be zipped away from the vehicle, allowing it to remain freestanding on site while you drive off.
Supplied with a separate peg-down polyethylene groundsheet rather than a sewn-in design, giving flexibility depending on use.
Roof ventilation with storm cover and side Phoenix mesh ventilation panel help maintain airflow and comfort.
Optional king poles can be added to create a small front canopy.

What vehicle heights does it fit?
What is the footprint size?
The main living area measures 200cm x 200cm, with an additional 80cm tunnel section for vehicle attachment.
Will it fit a small van like a VW Campervan?
Yes, it is well suited to smaller vans, and the 212cm rail connection width makes it particularly ideal for vehicles such as VW Campervans.
How long does it take to pitch?
It is designed to be quick to set up and usually takes around 6–12 minutes.
How do I attach it to my vehicle?
It includes twin 4mm and 6mm Kador piping so it can connect to most awning rails or wind-out canopies. Alternatively, the included guylines can be thrown over the roof and pegged down on the opposite side of the vehicle.
Does it come with a groundsheet?
Yes, a separate PE peg-down groundsheet is included.
Can the front door be used as a porch?
Yes. The front door can be set up as a sun canopy, although additional king poles need to be purchased separately.
Is it waterproof?
Yes, it is made from 120HDE high-density fabric with a 3000mm hydrostatic head and fully taped seams.
How should I store it?
Always ensure the awning is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mould and mildew. Store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
What does the warranty cover?
It includes a 12-month warranty against manufacturing faults covering workmanship and fabric. Fibreglass poles are normally excluded from warranty cover.
How can I reduce condensation?
Keep the roof vents and mesh panels open where possible to allow airflow through the awning.
