Compact Drive-Away Design
The Faros III Air Mid provides practical additional space without the bulk of a large motorhome awning. Its compact dimensions make it particularly suitable for touring holidays where vehicle storage capacity and packed weight are important considerations.
Mid-Height Vehicle Fit
Designed specifically for campervans and motorhomes with an attachment height between 215cm and 255cm, the Mid version provides the correct tunnel height for a wide range of medium-height leisure vehicles.
AirBeam® Inflatable Structure
Vango's inflatable AirBeam® system removes the need to assemble a conventional pole framework. Inflate the structural beams using the supplied pump to achieve a strong, stable awning while reducing the amount of time and effort required to pitch.
AirBeam® Pump Included
An ergonomically designed inflation pump is supplied with the awning. Its integrated pressure dial allows you to monitor inflation pressure and correctly set up the AirBeam structure.
Sentinel Active 150D Fabric
The lightweight yet durable 150D polyester fabric is designed specifically for touring use, providing a good balance of weather protection, manageable packed weight and durability.
4000mm HH Waterproof Protection
A 4000mm hydrostatic head rating gives the Faros III Air Mid dependable resistance against rainfall, making it suitable for typical British and European touring conditions.
ColourLok™ Eco Technology
Vango's ColourLok™ Eco treatment helps reduce the effects of UV exposure on the awning fabric, maintaining its colour and appearance for longer over repeated camping trips.
TBS®II Tension Band System
Vango's patented Tension Band System adds internal bracing when conditions become windy. The tension bands help reduce sideways movement and increase structural stability, then stow neatly away when additional reinforcement is not required.
PowerFlex Bracer Pole
A supplied PowerFlex fibreglass bracer pole adds further rigidity to the awning structure, providing additional support when camping in more unsettled conditions.
Clear Visibility Guylines
Highly visible guylines help secure the awning during windy conditions while making guy points easier to see around your pitch, particularly in poor light.
Durable Steel Pegs
Steel pegs are supplied to provide dependable anchoring and are particularly useful when pitching on harder or more demanding campsite surfaces.
Multiple Vehicle Attachment Methods
The Faros III Air Mid can be connected using several different systems, giving you greater flexibility depending on your vehicle. Options include a pre-attached 6mm kador, over-vehicle straps, roof bar attachment tabs and a traditional pole-and-clamp sleeve.
Pre-Attached 6mm Kador
Integrated 6mm kador beading allows the awning tunnel to connect directly to compatible vehicle awning rails or suitable drive-away connection systems.
Over-Vehicle Attachment Straps
For vehicles without an appropriate awning rail, supplied attachment points allow straps to pass over the vehicle and secure the awning from the opposite side.
Roof Bar Attachment Tabs
Integrated tabs provide an additional connection option for campervans equipped with suitable roof bars.
Pole-and-Clamp Sleeve
A traditional sleeve is incorporated into the connecting tunnel for owners who prefer to secure the awning using a compatible pole-and-clamp attachment system.
Adjustable Connecting Tunnel
A dedicated tunnel adjustment strap helps gather excess connecting material, creating a cleaner and more controlled fit between the awning and the side of your vehicle.
Roll-Away Connection Tunnel
Once disconnected from the vehicle, the connecting tunnel can be rolled neatly away and secured with toggles. This keeps the campsite setup tidy while you are away from your pitch.
Drive-Away Functionality
The awning can remain standing independently when you take your campervan or motorhome out for the day. An optional Vango Drive Away Kit can be used to make repeated connection and disconnection more convenient.
Diamond Clear Windows
Large transparent window panels maximise daylight inside the awning and provide good outward visibility, helping the compact living area feel brighter and more spacious.
Adjustable Privacy Curtains
Toggled curtains can be quickly closed when privacy or shade is required and rolled neatly away to make full use of the windows.
Mesh Front Door
The front entrance incorporates a mesh flyscreen, allowing you to increase ventilation while helping keep flies, mosquitoes and other insects outside.
Easy Access Entrances
Low, user-friendly entry points make movement into and out of the awning easier for families with pushchairs as well as wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility.
Dual Tunnel Access Doors
Doors at both the front and rear of the connecting tunnel provide convenient routes between the awning, campsite and vehicle without having to walk through the main living area each time.
Sewn-In Groundsheet
The integrated groundsheet creates a more enclosed internal environment, helping reduce draughts and preventing insects from entering beneath the awning walls. It also offers additional protection from wet or muddy ground.
Integrated Ventilation
Dedicated ventilation panels promote airflow through the awning, helping reduce condensation and maintain a more comfortable atmosphere during longer stays.
SkyTrack® II Hanging System
Vango's SkyTrack® II system provides flexible attachment points around the interior for compatible lighting, storage solutions and other accessories without permanently modifying the awning.
Lantern Hanging Points
Dedicated hanging points make it simple to position suitable camping lanterns inside the awning for convenient evening lighting.
Easy Pack Carry Bag
An oversized carry bag gives you more room when packing the awning away, making it easier to load before using the compression system to create a more manageable package for transport.
Fully Rain Tested
The Faros III Air Mid has been tested to EN ISO 5912 requirements, giving additional reassurance that its materials and construction are suitable for regular touring in wet weather.
Designed for Touring
The awning is intended for touring holidays and regular campsite use rather than permanent or long-term seasonal pitching, making it best suited to campers who regularly move between destinations.
