The Iris 500 is designed for short breaks and weekend trips where quick pitching, good internal light and straightforward layout are priorities. Its tunnel construction provides a balance of usable internal space and stable pitching, making it suitable for family campsites and festivals.
It sits above entry-level festival tents with added comfort features such as sewn-in groundsheet, darkened bedrooms and adjustable ventilation, but below heavier, more technical family tents designed for extended or exposed use. Pitching is simple with colour-coded poles and pegging points, and the tent can be pitched in around 15 minutes by two people.

Materials, Build & Design
The Iris 500 uses Vango’s Sentinel Essential fabric, a 68D polyester flysheet with a 3,000mmHH waterproof rating and fully taped seams for weather protection. The structure is supported by PowerFlex fibreglass poles, chosen for their balance of strength, weight and flexibility.
A fully sewn-in polyethylene groundsheet is integrated with an external storm skirt to reduce draughts, insects and water ingress. Design details such as pre-angled poles, tension band system and high-visibility guylines contribute to stability in variable conditions.

Size, Capacity & Everyday Use
With standing height throughout the living area and a generous footprint, the Iris 500 provides room for five people with separate sleeping and living zones. The Queen size Lights-Out bedrooms offer darker sleeping conditions and a wider sleeping area per person, while the toggled divider allows flexible bedroom layouts.
Large windows and AirZone ventilation help manage light and airflow during the day. When packed, the tent fits into an oversized carry bag, making transport and storage easier despite its family-tent size.
