The Vango Palma Air 260 Caravan Awning is a practical, lightweight touring awning designed to add useful living space to your caravan while keeping pitching and packing straightforward.

Measuring 260cm wide with a compact 240cm depth, the Palma Air 260 is particularly well suited to touring holidays and campsites where pitch space may be limited. Despite its relatively compact footprint, the pre-angled AirBeam® structure creates generous headroom and a spacious interior that can be used for relaxing, dining, storing outdoor equipment or keeping muddy footwear away from the caravan.

Quick and Easy AirBeam® Pitching

Vango's proven AirBeam technology replaces traditional poles with inflatable beams, helping to make pitching quicker and easier. An AirBeam pump with an integrated pressure gauge is supplied, while the included PowerLite alloy bracer pole adds extra support when conditions become breezy.

Durable Weather Protection

The awning is manufactured from Dynamic Weave 100â„¢, a durable cross-hatched fabric with a 4,000mm hydrostatic head. Designed specifically for touring use, it provides dependable weather protection for caravan holidays throughout the season.

Bright Interior and Flexible Ventilation

Large Diamond Clear windows allow plenty of daylight into the awning and provide excellent views of your surroundings. Toggled curtains can be closed whenever more privacy is required, while mesh panels in the side doors improve airflow on warmer days without inviting insects inside.

Easy Access for Everyone

Access is simple too. The flat-entry doorway makes moving chairs, pushchairs and other equipment in and out easier and also provides more convenient access for wheelchair users or anyone with reduced mobility.

Versatile Caravan Connection

Attaching the Palma Air 260 to your caravan is equally versatile. Its dual 4mm and 6mm Kador connection makes it compatible with caravan rails as well as a range of wind-out canopy systems, while the adjustable 235-250cm attachment height suits a wide selection of caravans and compatible vehicles.

Added Comfort and Stability

For additional comfort, both a draught skirt and wheel arch cover are included to reduce cold airflow beneath the caravan. Vango's TBSII Tension Band System, storm straps, adjustable pegging points and supplied steel and rock pegs help provide additional stability when the weather changes.

Practical, compact and quick to pitch, the Vango Palma Air 260 is an excellent choice for touring caravan owners who want versatile extra space without the bulk and weight of a larger full-size awning.

Key Features

Dynamic Weave 100â„¢ Fabric

A tough cross-hatched fabric developed to provide an excellent balance between low weight and durability. Its 4,000mm hydrostatic head offers dependable protection against wet British camping conditions.

AirBeam® Inflatable Structure

Vango's inflatable beam system removes the need for a conventional pole frame, allowing the awning to be pitched quickly with less effort. An AirBeam pump is supplied as standard.

Designed for Touring

Built with caravan holidays and regular pitching in mind, the Palma Air 260 is ideal for touring campers rather than permanent or seasonal pitching.

Compact 240cm Depth

The relatively shallow footprint makes efficient use of smaller caravan pitches while still providing valuable additional living and storage space.

PowerLite Bracer Pole

An adjustable lightweight alloy bracing pole is supplied to strengthen the structure and provide additional support in more challenging weather.

Draught Skirt and Wheel Arch Cover

Both accessories are included to close gaps along the bottom of the caravan and around the wheel arch, helping minimise unwanted cold draughts inside the awning.

Fire-Retardant Materials

The awning fabric has been designed to comply with the relevant European EN5912 fire-retardancy requirements.

Pre-Angled AirBeams

Carefully shaped beams improve usable headroom and create a more spacious interior while also contributing to structural stability.

AirBeam Pump Included

The supplied ergonomic inflation pump features an integrated pressure gauge so the AirBeams can be inflated to the correct pressure. A storage bag is also included.

Adjustable Caravan Attachment Height

Designed for attachment heights between 235cm and 250cm, allowing the awning to fit a broad range of compatible caravans and vehicles.

Dual 4mm and 6mm Kador

Two Kador bead sizes increase attachment versatility, making the awning suitable for traditional caravan rails as well as various compatible wind-out canopy systems.

TBSII Tension Band System

Vango's patented internal tensioning system braces the structure at multiple points to reduce sideways movement in strong or changing winds. The bands can be adjusted when needed and stored away during calmer conditions.

Easy-Access Entrance

A low, flat entrance reduces trip hazards and makes the awning easier to enter with pushchairs, wheelchairs and camping equipment.

Mesh Side Doors

Integrated mesh panels allow fresh air to circulate through the awning while helping to keep flies and other insects outside.

Diamond Clear Windows

Large transparent windows maximise natural light and outward visibility, giving the awning a bright and open feel.

Toggled Privacy Curtains

Simple toggle fixings make it quick to open the curtains during the day or close them when additional privacy is wanted.

Oversized Carry Bag

A generously sized storage bag with a wide opening makes packing the awning away less of a struggle. Compression straps help reduce its packed dimensions once everything is inside.

Steel Pegs

Durable steel pegs are supplied to provide a secure pitch across a variety of campsite ground conditions.

Corner Rock Pegs

Six distinctive orange-topped rock pegs are provided for the awning's main corner points, creating a strong foundation at the beginning of the pitching process.

Adjustable Pegging Points

Flexible pegging positions make it easier to achieve good tension when pitching on sloping, uneven or awkward ground.

Webbing Storm Straps

Clip-on storm straps can be deployed in stronger winds to add extra anchoring and stability to the awning.

Caravan Draught Pole Compatible

The awning can be used with compatible adjustable upright draught poles to create an even closer seal against the side of the caravan.

SkyTrack II® System

Vango's integrated hanging system provides convenient attachment points for compatible lighting, organisers and storage accessories without needing to modify the awning.

Sky Hooks Included

Sky Hooks are supplied for attaching compatible accessories directly to the integrated SkyTrack II system.

How to measure your Caravan Awning

Check the Height

Caravan awnings are suitable for a range of caravan heights, typically between 235cm and 250cm.

Before taking your measurement, park the caravan on flat, level ground and make sure the caravan itself is sitting level.

Measure vertically from the ground up to the top of the awning rail, using the straight section that runs along the upper edge of the caravan.

Measure the Available Length

The size of a Vango caravan awning is usually shown within its product name. For example, a Balletto Air 330 has an awning width of 330cm.

To find the largest awning your caravan can accommodate, measure the usable straight section of the awning rail. Start just before the rail begins to curve at the front of the caravan and measure along to the point just before it curves at the rear.

As Vango awnings connect to this straight section of rail, this measurement will give you the maximum awning width suitable for your caravan.

Please note: Some caravan awnings include additional side wings. These sections do not necessarily need to be included within your straight-rail measurement, as they can sit around the curved sections at either end of the caravan.

Consider the Position of the Sides

It is also important to check where each side of the awning will sit once installed. Pay particular attention to the position of your caravan's doors, windows and external storage lockers.

If an awning side needs to sit across a window, Vango awnings feature the patented Vango Draught Seal System. This helps the awning fit closely against the side of the caravan, creating a tidy and effective seal around areas such as windows.

Once you have checked the height, available rail length and position of the awning sides, you will have the measurements you need to choose a suitable Vango awning for your caravan.
