  • Sentinel Active 75D fabric is lightweight, compact, and waterproof
  • Linked-In Groundsheet
  • Weight: 11.4kg

The Vango Tailgate Hub II Low Poled Awning 2026 is a compact drive-away awning designed for low-height campervans, vans and SUVs. It gives you extra sheltered space at the rear or side of your vehicle, making it perfect for weekend touring, short stays and campsite stops where quick pitching matters.

Designed to fit vehicles with a connection height of 180–220cm and an adjustable tunnel width of 120–190cm, this awning offers a flexible fit across a wide range of low vehicles. It can be attached using the tailgate straps, or connected through more traditional methods such as kador, pole-and-clamp or roof bar tabs. This means you can choose the fixing method that best suits your vehicle.

The roll-away connecting tunnel lets you detach from your vehicle during the day, leaving the awning freestanding on your pitch. This is useful when you want to head out without packing everything away. The two tunnel access doors also make it easier to move between the vehicle and awning, with entry from either side depending on how you pitch it.

Inside, the Tailgate Hub II Low creates a useful living or storage area with plenty of light from Vango’s Diamond Clear Windows. Toggled privacy curtains are included for when you want more cover, while the mesh front door helps with airflow and keeps insects out. The linked-in groundsheet can be removed when needed, making it easier to clean after muddy or wet trips.

The awning uses Vango’s Sentinel Active 75D fabric, which is lightweight, compact to pack and has a 3,000mm Hydrostatic Head waterproof rating. PowerFlex fibreglass poles form the frame, while the TBS II Tension Band System helps brace the structure in windy weather. Clear Visibility Guylines are brightly coloured to reduce trip hazards around the pitch.

For lighting and storage, the SkyTrack II system gives you hanging points inside the awning, along with lantern hanging points for campsite lighting. The awning is supplied with steel pegs and an Easy Pack Carry Bag, giving you what you need for pitching and packing away.

The Vango Tailgate Hub II Low can also be used with the optional BR003 Free Standing Inner Bedroom, allowing it to provide occasional sleeping space as well as storage or daytime shelter. Its compact pack size and 10-minute pitching time make it a good choice for touring campers who want extra space without taking a large awning.
