The Vango Tay 200 is designed as a straightforward, easy-to-use tent for short stays, festivals and casual camping. Its dome construction creates more usable internal space than basic ridge tents, while keeping overall weight and pack size low. The inner-first pitch makes setup quick and intuitive, particularly for new campers.

Positioned as an entry-level tent, the Tay 200 offers more structure, weather protection and comfort than pop-up or festival-only shelters, without the added weight or complexity of larger touring tents. It is best suited to fair-to-moderate weather conditions and campsite use.

Materials, Build & Design

The Vango Tay 200 uses Vango’s Protex 70 Denier polyester flysheet with a 3,000mmHH waterproof rating and fully taped seams for dependable rain protection. The structure is supported by PowerFlex fibreglass poles, including a Gothic Arch pole that improves stability, headroom and water run-off.

A waterproof polyethylene groundsheet is used throughout, including in the porch area, providing durable protection against damp ground. High-visibility pre-attached guylines are positioned to assist stability in windy conditions.

Size, Capacity & Everyday Use

Designed for two people, the Tay 200 offers a sleeping area with a small front porch for storing boots and gear. Crystal clear windows in the porch allow natural light inside, improving visibility during daytime use.
