The Vango Savannah Air 400 is a brand-new model for the 2025 season, designed as a compact yet comfortable family tent with all the premium features you’d expect from Vango. With space for up to four people, it’s perfect for weekend breaks and short stays where ease of pitching and weather protection are key.

Fabric and Weather Protection

The Savannah Air 400 is made from Vango’s Sentinel DynamicWeave™ fabric, which blends 70D and 100D polyester threads to achieve an excellent balance of strength and packable weight. It comes with a 4,000mm Hydrostatic Head waterproof rating, fully taped seams, and UPF 50+ UV protection, ensuring you stay dry and comfortable whatever the weather. The fabric also uses ColourLok Eco™ technology, which reduces water and energy usage during production while boosting UV resistance – meaning your tent will stay looking good for longer.

Pitching and Structure

Thanks to Vango’s AirBeam® inflatable structure, the Savannah Air 400 can be pitched in around 10 minutes. The AirSpeed® valve makes inflating and deflating straightforward, while the TBS® II Tension Band System provides extra stability in windy conditions. Pre-angled beams and upright walls (Vango’s Villa Construction) maximise headroom and create a spacious interior.

Living and Sleeping Areas

Inside, the Savannah Air 400 feels bright and roomy thanks to large Diamond Clear windows and a generous extended living area, which provides space for tables, chairs, or storage. The pre-attached front awning offers a sheltered area for sitting outside or keeping muddy boots and gear under cover. The tent features Vango’s Midnight Bedrooms, which use darkened fabric to reduce early morning light. The King-size bedrooms provide 70cm sleeping width per person, with a toggled divider to create two rooms or one larger space. Clear Access doors and a drop-down front step make entry and exit easy, and integrated bedroom pockets keep smaller items organised.

Features and Ventilation

The Savannah Air 400 includes Vango’s SkyTrack® II hanging system, ideal for attaching lights, organisers, or hanging storage. Lantern hanging points are well-placed throughout the tent, and a zipped cable entry point with cable tidies makes it simple to run power inside. Ventilation is handled by high and low AirZone panels, which help to reduce condensation by keeping air moving. Practical touches like mesh doors, toggled privacy curtains, and an easy-pack oversized carry bag make the tent straightforward to use. The fully sewn-in groundsheet, paired with an external storm skirt, helps to keep the interior draught-free and protected from insects.
