The Vango Arden Tailgate Awning is a lightweight rear awning designed for low-height campervans, vans and SUVs. With a fast 5-minute pitching time and a simple single-pole frame, it gives you extra covered space at the back of your vehicle without taking up much room when packed away.
Ideal for short breaks, stopovers and touring holidays, the Vango Arden Tailgate Awning attaches neatly to the rear of your vehicle and includes width and height adjustment for a closer fit. With a connection width of 120–190cm and a low kador height of 180–210cm, it is built to suit a wide range of low-height vehicles.
The awning can be attached using four different methods, including pre-attached 6mm kador, 8m over-vehicle straps, roof bar attachment tabs and a sleeve for a pole-and-clamp kit system. This gives you more choice when connecting it to your campervan or SUV, depending on your vehicle and preferred attachment method.
Made from Vango’s Sentinel Active 75D fabric, the Arden Tailgate Awning is compact, waterproof and easy to store in your vehicle between trips. The 3,000mm Hydrostatic Head rating provides protection from wet weather, while the awning has also been rain tested to EN ISO 5912 for added reassurance during normal touring use.
Inside, Diamond Clear Windows help brighten the space and improve visibility, while toggled privacy curtains allow you to cover the windows when needed. The mesh front door helps keep insects out while allowing airflow through the awning, making the space more comfortable in warmer weather.
The linked-in groundsheet can be attached or removed from the living area, which makes cleaning easier after muddy pitches or wet trips. Clear Visibility Guylines help reduce trip hazards around the awning, and the orange highlighted pegging points show where to peg first to create the correct shape.
For lighting and storage, the SkyTrack II system allows you to attach compatible lights or storage items inside the awning. Sky Hooks are also supplied, giving you what you need to use the hanging system straight away.
The Vango Arden Tailgate Awning is supplied with steel pegs and an oversized Easy Pack Carry Bag, helping make pitching, packing and transport more straightforward. It can also be pitched at the side or rear of your campervan, giving you more flexibility depending on your pitch layout.
This is a touring awning, designed for holidays, weekends and short stays. It is not intended for static or long-term seasonal pitching, as extended UV exposure can cause accelerated fabric wear.
