Vango’s new Lismore Air 600xl is a fantastic family air tent and is amazing value for money. Vango’s family tents now come with a footprint groundsheet to protect the underside of the tent from mud, stones and also help keep the tent clean. The groundsheet comes in two sections, one for underneath the tent and one for the front awning area.
The inflatable structure on the Lismore Air 600xl makes it very easy to pitch, in fact you should be fully set up within 12-15 minutes, which for a tent the size of this is incredible. The pre-angled Airbeams maximize the internal room inside the tent and can be pumped up in seconds; a manual push-pull pump is supplied as well as a range of decent pegs.
There are three main areas to the Vango Lismore Air 600xl tent; a sleeping area that accommodates up to six people that has a curtain dividers to allow privacy, a large main living area that measures 280cm x 380cm so it is spacious enough so that you have plenty of inside space for a rainy day and an in-built front awning that gives you a great space for cooking, sitting under in the evenings or to leave your wet shoes before offering a great area to cook or leave your muddy shoes and boots before entering the living area. The front awning door has three door positions (fully open, semi-open or closed) so you can have it just as you want. The side door can be used as a canopy with the use of some king poles (optional extra).
Vango’s Sentinel Fabric for the canvas has been dyed using a different method to increase the colour retention of the fabric. This process uses 60% less water making it more environmentally friendly. This canvas has a waterproof rating of 3,000mm HH which is more than enough to cope with the British weather. The tent comes with all the Vango features you would come to expect including dark ‘Nightfall bedrooms’, Storage pockets inside the inners, a cable entry point to bring in mains electricity into your tent, High and low-level ventilation and Vango’s TBS system which prevents lateral movement of the tent in strong winds.
